Joel,

I too, am inspired by your life story. I use to live in C-town, MS and graduated from Heritage Academy in 1989. Did you grow up in that area?

I found your blog on Bryce's forum, and have since started a few of your workouts mixed in with my current weightlifting.

Your workouts, the 20/50 thing, shovel glove, and the no-S diet all go hand in hand for me.

Anyway, thank you and keep rolling.

Gunnar,

No, I did not grow up in this area, but I am a Southern native.

Bryce's 50/20 routine was a major source of inspiration for the TMFS program. I had wanted to do something like this for some time, but I couldn't nail down the model I wanted to use. It was after going back through Bryce's 50/20 article that things finally clicked one day - and the 20 Minute Fitness Solution was officially born.

Several fans of Bryce's programs and the Everyday Systems of No S and Shovelglove have embraced the TMFS blog as well. It may be simply that Bryce and Reinhard have graciously encouraged this blog and have allowed discussions of it on their forums. Whatever the reason, I am a fan of all three programs (Bryce, Everyday, and TMFS) too. :)

Just for the record, I don't enjoy this workout. It hurts too much :) hahahaha, 12 mile bike ride in 50 min before hand. I was semi-happy with that.

Did an easy 20 x 5 reps.
I intend to take it easy till the New Year then hopefully I´ll be over everything and can get back to full fitness.
